Summer Solstice: Summerfest

Using teachings from Bowen Family Systems theory, we will explore ways we can become aware of how we are interconnected with our families, the roles we play in our families, and how it impacts our relationships with others. 

This interactive multigenerational Sunday Service will have opportunities for creating, connecting and practicing resilience in community. Through crafting and sharing we will create community together. 

A little talked about aspect of UU history is the walkout that happened at the 1969 General Assembly. There were opposing efforts to respond to the civil rights movement which resulted in a split in UU leadership. This event continues to have longstanding ramifications to this day. Come learn about this history and contemplate how we can truly live our values of inclusion.
