Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or Compassionate Communication is a method of connecting with others in a structured way that can improve our interactions, which brings forth greater compassion and peace. This week we will focus on feelings, the second component of the NVC model. We will discuss recognizing various emotions and ways of expressing them. We will see how feelings give us valuable information about our needs, which is where we can connect to others with compassion,
Superheroes transform physically and emotionally. They transform from “ordinary” people to people who take on obstacles as they learn about themselves. This Service celebrates the conclusion of the stewardship campaign, a time when UUCF became superheroes to each other and to the Beloved Community we wish to see in the world. Come celebrate National Superhero Day with UUCF!
What does it mean to add one more space to our table? Through the Guest At Your Table program with the UU Service Committee, we will explore the ways we live our value of generosity in everything we do. At this service we will also have a moment of shared generosity through a Thanksgiving Bread Communion.
