Global Health Charities – Addressing global infant and maternal mortality locally with compassion and innovation
Global Health Charities focuses on reducing infant and maternal mortality by providing a clean birthing environment for mother and baby with our Clean Birth Kits.
In this multicongregation Service – UUCF is going to Northwest UU in Southfield – we will share a bread communion with neighbors and soon to be friends and explore what it means to make space for others we have yet to meet.
Joanna Whaley will speak about her experiences with surviving conversion therapy, and how she imagines a day when the spiritual world leads the way in ending the oppression of our fellow humans.
What does it mean to add one more space to our table? Through the Guest At Your Table program with the UU Service Committee, we will explore the ways we live our value of generosity in everything we do. At this service we will also have a moment of shared generosity through a Thanksgiving Bread Communion.
