In this multicongregation Service – UUCF is going to Northwest UU in Southfield – we will share a bread communion with neighbors and soon to be friends and explore what it means to make space for others we have yet to meet.
Superheroes transform physically and emotionally. They transform from “ordinary” people to people who take on obstacles as they learn about themselves. This Service celebrates the conclusion of the stewardship campaign, a time when UUCF became superheroes to each other and to the Beloved Community we wish to see in the world. Come celebrate National Superhero Day with UUCF!
Service on this Pride Sunday will be located at 1st UU Detroit. Four congregations will join together in a joyous celbration of pride before heading down to march in the Motor City Pride Parade!
Jeynce Poindexter will share experiences with the Ruth Ellis Center and awareness of the discrimination, murder, and harm of trans women of color, particularly Black trans women in and around the Detroit metropolitan area.
