Beauty & Wonder in The Night Sky: A Winter Solstice Celebration
The Winter Solstice is a celebration of the longest night of the year! We will explore the wonder of this celebration through story telling, drumming and chanting. We are inviting our friends from Northwest UU and 1st UU Detroit to join us as well.
Come learn about Sarah Emma Edmonds, a woman who served in the U.S. Army during the Civil War as a nurse, mail carrier, soldier and spy. This extraordinary woman’s life is an inspiration for breaking barriers in our world today.
Come celebrate Pride Sunday with the UU Farmington community! Through music and readings – which will include the choir performing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” – we will explore what it means to live authentic and proud lives.
Rest is a tool for liberation and healing! Using the framework of Tricia Hersey’s book, “Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto” we will slow down and experience renewal together.
