Multi Congregational Service at Farmington: Question Box Sunday
Unitarian Universalism is a faith tradition that loves its questions more than its answers. We live in the ambiguity of life and help each other get comfortable with not knowing. In this multicongregation Service, Rev. Julie Brock from 1st UU Detroit and Northwest UU (Southfield) and Rev. Karen Madrone from UU Farmington, will respond to questions posed by the congregation. This multi UU community will practice taking risks and stepping into what is unknown.
Our faith community is both historic and ever evolving! This Service will recognize long term members and thank our elected leaders for their service this year. We will also celebrate our annual flower ceremony which represents the diversity of our community.
Poetry has a way of speaking to the heart. In this meditative Service, we will share poems that resonate with us and possibly changed our lives. Before the new year begins, come to this Service that invites you to slow down and pay attention to your soul’s needs.
Do you have questions? Maybe we have answers! We’ll find out! At this Service Rev. Karen and UUCF’s RE Coordinator, Argot Kramer, will answer questions from the congregation. We will also bless backpacks, briefcases, purses, whatever you have to kick off the beginning of the school year.
