Join us and invite your friends to our second annual festival in the parking lot. There will be food and great conversation, as well as yoga, games, crafts, and surprises for all ages. Bring a donation of nonperishable food or household supplies to help stock our Little Free Pantry.
This Sunday UUCF will join other area congregations to celebrate Pride in Detroit! We will all gather for a celebratory Sunday Service and then go march in the Detroit Pride parade.
We will spend some time uplifting stories about trans people from human history. We may enjoy some speculative history together about what indigenous trans people were doing in their communities before colonialism brought fear of anything outside of the binary (engaging with our imagination!). We will read names of trans people who have passed and do some grieving practices together.
Returning to the UUCF pulpit, Rabbi Daniel Schwartz from the Temple Shir Shalom will discuss the rise of antisemitism and what we as UUs can do about it.
