Connecting through Love, Building and Nurturing the Flame
Stewardship is the act of responsibly managing and caring for something that has been entrusted to us. Just like a flame needs fuel, oxygen, and constant attention to keep burning, love also requires constant care and effort to thrive. Our community and the resources needed to maintain and nurture it, have been entrusted to the whole congregation. This service marks the beginning of this year’s stewardship campaign. Come, let’s celebrate our annual gathering of resources that supports our community.
The Earth itself – especially Michigan’s beautiful lakes, hills, and woods – is a wonderful source of joy we can all experience. Come, let us celebrate our connection to the Earth and remind ourselves of our responsibility to lovingly care for it in all we do.
Poetry has a way of speaking to the heart. In this meditative Service, we will share poems that resonate with us and possibly changed our lives. Before the new year begins, come to this Service that invites you to slow down and pay attention to your soul’s needs.
Let’s celebrate Global Belly Laugh Day! Laughter is a spiritual practice that can help us stay present and open to possibilities. Come, enjoy laughter and joy in community.
