In this multicongregation Service – UUCF is going to Northwest UU in Southfield – we will share a bread communion with neighbors and soon to be friends and explore what it means to make space for others we have yet to meet.
In this joint service, Marie Lowry will share her brother Don’s story and Alexandra Hicks from Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities will teach you to use Narcan, the simple tool that could have saved Don’s life.
This Sunday after election day Service, we will use the framework from Prentis Hemphill’s book, “What it Takes to Heal: How Transforming Ourselves Can Change the World” to contemplate how even in uncertain times we can make space for healing and growth.
On this Sunday before the national election, following a month of practicing Deep Listening, this multigenerational Service will make space for holding a place where we can consider where we can repair our hearts and build relationships across differences.
This All Souls Day Service includes space for grief, joy, and remembrance of those who have died this past year and honoring of our ancestors long passed. Please bring pictures or mementos of your loved ones to place on the altar.

We will learn how harmful colonization has been to sovereign nations in Turtle Island and how those themes also harm non-Native, settler descendants.
