Linda Gobeski, Xina Steward 10:00 AM Brandon Faber – Pianist TOPIC: “Hallaluja Presentation”
Our sermon is a reflection on the Leonard Cohen song "Hallalujah". The words are haunting, and the sense of
love, loss and gratitude are connected. Linda Gobeski and Xina Stewart are long term members of Northwest Unitarian
Universalist Church. Linda is the current Religious Programs Governor. She lives in Plymouth with husband Jim and
daughter Molly, and is a nurse at the University of Michigan. Xina lives in Huntington Woods with her husband David and
works for Comerica Bank.
Brandon Faber is a 2007 graduate of Kalamazoo College, MI where he studied piano performance, orchestral conducting,
education, and psychology. He lives in Commerce Township, MI where he keeps a private studio teaching piano. He has
performed for audiences in Strasbourg, France; Montreux, Switzerland; and throughout Michigan. The last two summers
Brandon has taught for the prestigeous Leysin American School in Switzerland. He will be relocating to California this
August to begin graduate school for orchestral conducting at California S. U. in Long Beach.
Eva-Maressa Joven Rice is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and a recent graduate of University of Hawaii at Manoa,
where she earned her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in vocal performance. In graduate school Eva plans to become
a classical vocal artist and an elementary and middle school music teacher.
