Social Action Monthly Project:
The Social Action Committee of UUCF typically takes on a monthly service project in addition to ongoing programs. Last month, August, SAC collected food and supplies for Neighborhood House a Farmington Organization which provides food for families and persons in need in our community.
Ongoing Projects:
The Social Action Committe and The Social Justice Network will be working together to support the goal of affordable, quality health care for everyone in America. Information will be on the SAC board in Adams Hall and e-mail blasts will be sent out
Committee Overview:
Social Action is up to "U"!
Our shared commitment to a more just, compassionate and equitable world empowers us to act together to improve our community, the larger society, and the planet.
Social Action is made up of 5 subcommittees: Green Sanctuary, Community Outreach, Welcoming Congregation, (LGBT Rights), UUSC (international issues) and the Social Justice Network (Michigan issues). In addition to serving the subcommittees, Social Action acts as a resource for anyone interested in individual projects or for those who want ideas on how to get involved.
