Diana Munch, Music Director

Music plays an important role in our Sunday services. The wonderful acoustics of our Meeting House enhance the music-making of any soloist or group who performs at UUCF. We have a great deal of musical diversity in our Sunday services, ranging from ethnic music, music of different religious traditions, as well as music in the classical, early music, jazz, folk and blues styles.
Guest artists have included DSO, MOT, Steinway artists, Wayne State University faculty musicians, and a variety of fine vocal and instrumental soloists. Our newly formed Music Committee contributes to our music program by sponsoring concerts and musical events to provide additional funding for our Sunday morning guest artists.
Our music director, Diana Munch, joined us in 1998. She is a pianist, harpsichordist and forte pianist, who has accompanied singers, instrumentalists, chamber music ensembles and choral groups in Michigan, as well as on European tours. She served on staff at Wayne State University for seven years as Accompanist for the Music Department. She is a State-Certified Piano Teacher through the Michigan Music Teachers Association and has taught piano lessons for over 40 years. Diana and her sister Linda Munch are co-founders and performers in Michigan Baroque, an early music ensemble that performs on period instruments. She also performs duets and 2-piano music regularly with her duet partner, Evelyn Evon Callow, the choir director at UUCF.
